Command & Conquer: Red Alert for the PlayStation is a conversion of the hit computer game of the same name. The game involves commanding either the Soviets or Allies through 14 different missions, which vary depending on the side you choose. In order to amass your troops (consisting of tanks, infantry, naval and air forces), you must first build various structures with your available funds. Each map screen will have two types of natural resources (ore and gemstones) that can be collected to finance your operation. Missions generally involve building a base, mining resources and generating a mix of troops to mount an assault on the enemy's base.
The PlayStation version supports the mouse and includes a Skirmish mode, which lets you face up to three computer opponents on 20 different maps in an all-out battle for domination. Want to start out with more credits or troops? How about increase the game speed? These options can all be adjusted before you begin a game. The PlayStation version also supports the Link Cable so you can battle a second player head to head or with computer-controlled AI teams. Twenty-one music tracks will keep your foot tapping as you wage war, and a password save feature will allow you to continue your single-player missions at a later time.
That isn't really the "original" just a remake released for Windows 95 systems and users that don't know how to navigate to and use DOS lol...I want to get my hands on the original again >.
They came out with a compilation of all the Command and conquer games up to the third one, Its formatted to work on newer computers, I think its called C & C The First Decade.
Lol, that's old news, and the Command And Conquer isn't the one I'm looking for. Its the optimized version for Windows "C&C Gold". Basically the same thing, but its different to me. UI is different.
